Gets up every morning, drags himself to work Four hungry mouths to feed take all his time Gone before the sun comes up, not home til after dark Takes everything he’s got just getting’ by Goes about his business taking care to mind his own Just wants to raise his family got no time to bitch and moan He’s the common man and he built this land With blood and tears and sweat, how could anyone forget?
