Task laid on me By Shadows in the night For them I must finish it For they gave me the sight Ancient and wise Deep was their voice Soon I have found Persistence in cold The Blade must be sharp The gloves must be thick The stomach of steel Is needed to keep The studies discrete For importance is vast My knowledge shall they need When now is in the past Blood keeps the warmth Heart is its spring Lungs capture air All protected by skin Thousands of veins Hundreds of bones Guts to digest To breed are the stones Eyes work as holes To capture the light Nose is to smell And teeth are to fight The brain is the source There must be no soul With the brain I shall create Abomination Faint shivering light Bodies disemboweld Wisdom kept inside Stains of ink and Blood Death is no end Success, at last Glorious creation Spells have been cast Shadows, my masters My sight is no more My work here is done Thine Wisdom lives on The books shall be found When next servant comes Thine dreams to fulfill With a new set of eyes Thine kindom will rise The World at your knees When all life is post mortem Abominated Faint shivering light Bodies disemboweld Wisdom kept inside Stains of ink and Blood
