Over Time

This is the season I start California dreaming And the wind begins to curl between my toes The air is cold as needles It reminds me of the evils in my life I wish that I didn't know The sun still seems to find me The heat always reminds me That life goes by Everything's the same but somehow everything is changing Maybe I don't mind I don't worry about the weather Cause I think it's getting better over time The autumn colors echo through the orange and red and yellow And their song makes me feel more alive The rain makes way for flowers I could stare at them for hours Wondering how they're breaking through the sidewalk lines The storm is far behind me But the lightning always finds me
