Welcome I extend my apologies to the misinformed But you are now a part of a creation A creation that has become my passion and drive for the past year A creation that required the sacrifice of who I used to be And it all began with the 16th of July 1969 Dreams of a nation soon to be fulfilled as the inspired look on in awe The race hadn't ended but they knew that we were victorious Cheers and celebration flooded the air, rejoicing at the accomplishment But not me I dumped myself behind barriers forged on the sheer reliance of others to keep me moving forward There is no one at fault for this but me And I want you to understand that this is the breakthrough, my breakthrough No matter what Ups and downs, good and bad My story will be told Welcome to me
