Pile Of Dust

Blurred lights fill my senses as I walk by Questional glances from a stranger in the corner Smoking a cigarette Tall buildings all above me swaying A tree beside me whispers, I think it's saying Hey there woman, I think you need a little rest Walking and a-stumbling, running for the bus Well I'm dazzled and confused, I'm in a bit of a rush Just like everybody else here, I'm trying to get somewhere I hope I don't make too much of a fuss Cos I'm living, living, living Living and I'm leaving and I'm breathing in a pile of dust I tune my ears into a random conversation I get a burst of hope from that warm interaction I wonder if anybody thinks like me I look into the soul of a woman walking by I wanna ask if she's okay, cos she's on the verge of crying Then I realise that that woman is me Walking and a-stumbling, running for the bus Well I'm dazzled and confused, I'm in a bit of a rush Just like everybody else here, I'm trying to get somewhere I hope I don't make too much of a fuss Cos I'm living, living, living Living and I'm leaving and I'm breathing in a pile of dust Living, living, living I'm living and I'm leaving and I'm breathing in a pile of dust
