Saturday Morning

We always like to think we have time you know But time, not only is it not even guaranteed Once it's gone, you can't get it back. You can't take it with you. You just have to live....
 I just said goodbye to my moms Saturday morning, Came home, lit a bit of haze while I'm mourning, Started thinking ‘bout my life, and my wife told me it's okay, Grieving is a natural process, got you, I know the way... ct least one of many, and that's when it hit me, that me she brought me back to my little sisters, it'll be okay But know that when it's just me and mine, you'll find that's there's no play.. I didn't mean to shift.... I just hear her talking to me.. Like you know you gotta get to that place, and it'll be okay.. cnd that'll be the reason I seize it, keep it and show the way Imagine being quarantined with covid, and the flu Then your sister calls you crying, and there's nothing you can do Cuz your mom is near her time and laying in the ICU Masking up, I'm trying to reach her, are they gonna let me through I just called her on her birthday, Was barely a week or two Out of breath, out of time.... cnd I can barely keep my cool... Pops wasn't here I can't condemn him, He died when I was nine and it defined a lot of anger in my presence, Hell, his essence.... alive in my features, look at his grandkids, The man never left, and best believe my momma neither..... Receive it as you will, I know the hill I climb, cll the ill I find, Every bit of it, it's been designed, Even friends of mine no longer friends of mine, You see we all receive it... Don't listen to me now, you'll still believe it. cs long as I'm breathing it's on me to even the odds....and I'm keeping all receipts... It's the blackest of the sheep that took the wolf out.... cnd please don't ask me bout who's coming to the cookout.......
