What does it mean To feel so full of love To have just a ball of love pushing so hard on your insides Pushing behind your eyes As if trying to squeeze out tears It's like when you see a cute baby rabbit And it's so cute And adorable And part of you want to squish it Cause the adorableness is just too strong a feeling for your body to handle Why does it feel like my body is crumbling Under the weight Of just so much love When love is the literal only thing I've ever looked for When I'm lying behind you in bed And I'm touching your back Drawing star signs to light up your dreams It seems I just want to touch you in such a way That the tiny distance between the atoms of our beings could intertwine Like fingers interlocked when holding hands And laying there hurts 'Cause I know I can never do that I can never actually Fully, physically, verbally, emotionally Express how this love is so strong that it breaks me down But that I'm hoping it's to build me back up 'Cause you taught me how to believe in magic and the stars And I showed you my scars and said "Lay your faith on me I wish to carry you" Cause when I laid there Behind your back I felt so full of love it turned to pain When I realised the world can still hurt you And how dare it?! Does it not know you've carried more than enough? Does it not know I'm so full of love for you that I'd literally fight it? Like, right now, fight me But to feel so helpless To know That I can't protect you from ever feeling pain again Just feels so unfair Like then what's the point of love? But obviously that's the point of love To be there after the hurt To draw star signs on your back To light up your dreams
