Deep in the well of a dream Every night Darkness falls From the crypts they crawl Black, faceless things come for me Morbid shapes From north-wind storms In dark droves they swarm Sylphlike, piercing tongues, with bestial wings Horror beyond all perceived memory Grotesque distortions Prehensile paws latch to my flesh Vile perversions To desolate dreams-capes we voyage Nocturneous (Nocturneous) Nocturneous Terror beyond our wildest (dreams) Abhorrent visions A skyward climb to jagged peaks Vulgar perceptions Through nether pits and wretched lakes of agony Nocturneous (Nocturneous) Nocturneous Terror beyond our wildest dreams Daybreak hours slowly creep Still I hunger to shed this sleep Deep into the lurking night Long I watched with these wearied eyes Nocturneous (Nocturneous) Nocturneous Terror beyond our wildest dreams When will I wake from this dream?
