All Hail the empire collapse For those with heads stuck in the sand Or firmly up your ass All Hail the empire collapse I hope you liked your freedom We may never get it back One day while walking to the store Just like a thousand times before But this time was diff rent let's be clear I came upon a boy with a strange Symbol on his arm I said sonny what are you doing here He said I'm fighting for my country I'm fighting for my rights I'm fighting for those longing to be free I'm fighting for the best of us So leave out all the rest of us The best of us they look just like me All hail the empire collapse They'll smile and pick your pockets And then slap you on the back All hail the empire collapse They begged you for your loyalty And never gave it back It seems they had a plan, you see To rule from sea to shining sea They told the people what they want to hear They told them who's to blame for this "It must be all our differences The signs all say the end times are near" They said, "they're stealing all your money They're stealing all your jobs The rest of us are left in poverty They're ruining this country They're poisoning the blood The crisis that they call diversity" All hail the empire collapse This one is for the cowards And those standing in the back All hail the empire collapse You won't be called a hero If it's courage that you lack So I called up my congressman I aired with him my grievances He assured me a solution would be near Then he turned up on TV With that strange symbol on his arm I said "man what are you doing here?" He said "I'm fighting for my children I'm fighting for my wife I'm fighting for my life and liberty But I'm sure as you all know Some of 'them' have got to go But the rest of us will look just like me" All Hail the Empire Collapse We were working for the future But instead we're going back All Hail the Empire Collapse They put a ribbon on their lies And they sold them all as facts I wrote a hundred letters I made a thousand calls I marched with millions on the avenue But our voices went unheard Our worst fears had been affirmed Is there anything that anyone can do?
