Moment

Sometimes I wish I could just forget All the pain in the wake I've left Forever burned in my memory Are times I wished I could cease to be I wish I could control it But it all comes flooding back I've long tried to suppress it But nothing fades to black Sometimes I wish I could just remember All the days I refused to surrender But they slipped from my memory And became the subject of my fantasy I wish I could control it But its far from my grasp How can I think of the future When I can't understand my past So one could say that I live in the moment Not by choice but at least I know it I'll never control my memories The future is where I'll focus my anxieties
