Chasing After The Wind

Searching through this life for oh so long For meaning and for purpose, for my song Rivers flow into the sea that can never be satisfied What to do when generations come and go Life seeking endless pleasure is all some know In the end we find we have been Chasing after the wind Meaningless, all of life is meaningless There must be more than Chasing after the wind Been holding on so tight to things that burn Not allowing for God in my heart to long and yearn When will we ever learn, we never walk alone Why do we push away The Author of life It causes endless pain, loneliness, and strife There is a God above calling us home But we're Chasing after the wind Meaningless, all of life is meaningless There must be more than Chasing after the wind Fear of The Lord brings wisdom Obeying is life and His Kingdom No more chasing life, only Jesus The river that can overflow the sea From God through Christ and His Spirit Makes all things new so we never say Chasing after the wind Meaningless, life is never meaningless There is so much more, so much more Than chasing after the wind Meaningless, life is never meaningless There is so much more Than chasing after the wind There's chasing after Him Chasing after Him Chasing after Him Chasing after Him
