Upgrade Standards (Interlude)

I can't say i seen it all But in the trenches you absorbed all the street life Every day felt like a gamble either life or death All we knew was the word survive See no evil Hear no evil And speak no evil Was the g code we only lived by I slowly made it to the top And watch them all look at me in disbelief I felt like i was the chosen one But everyone betrayed me like it was either him or me Welcome to my life Class is now in session The only school i had to pay attention too we're my brothers that we're in heaven There wasn't any blackboard or chalk board in the streets I was dealt with a deck of cards because i had to play for keeps The only examples were the experience you gain while hopefully you didn't fall fast asleep This wasn't any ordinary class where you snooze and still pass This was my life we talking about All the scars and full of heartbreaks i already been had Upgraded my standards But people's decisions altered my own life that made us into complete by-standards All i ask god was for more life Because where i'm from We celebrate more life because my brothers and sister never got the chance to see their dream Become answered
