The Finding Song

I kissed the lion on the cheek To try and find some physical relief Found I was fortieth in line They said, "Son, this usually happens all the time" Met a man, he'd been there forty years I asked him what on Earth could keep him here He said he had moved up quite a way He said, "Son, it just might happen any day- Besides, what did I ever have to offer? What did he ever have to lost? And so begins an absent father The lie is buried deep inside What if I stood here for a week And found some happiness beyond belief? Then who'd be the fool who'd drag me away?
