I'm a fishin' by the side of the river and I'm wishing That I was on my yacht and I got, a rainbow trout supreme And I dream of the weather Just so beautiful and majestic, wearing my sweater Because it helps protect me from the nippy breeze The birds and trees are smiling at me And as I'm out there reeling them in I think of places I've already been There's no place I'd rather be, that out in the sea I'm a fishin' up in the middle of a pond with little ambition Because I'm on my boat but I don't catch a single one But the fun Of the ocean, the sun shining down with all my devotion Because I reel them all cause they call, so I won't let them down And as the perch are singing their song The bass are singing along Oh, there's no place I'd rather be than out in the sea I'm a fishin' in the big amazing sea oh, what a position Because they're everywhere they don't care that I'm here at all What a ball It's inviting, just one right after the other so delighting Cause everyone's a prize in my eyes no matter how big they seem And as I have them all on the run, I think wait The journey here was twice as fun.
