Oscillate

The saying tells that speech is silver but silence is gold It is nor a deafening void nor a comforting noise It's more like a permanent sound that rings hollow It sometimes fills a hole I never dared to look into I ventured a thousand times around it avoiding the fall I'm trying to take a step back but I'm in the center of it all I'm losing balance on my thread of thoughts Emotions spinning and shifting once more High and low Back and forth Like a pendulum out of control High and low To and fro It's like being on top of the world with vertigo I find it pleasing to be alone and gone away I desperately need someone with me along the way Never have I felt quite sure about anything with no delay I often feel something and soon after the opposite I swear I'm a believer when I'm not an atheist I found in anger my calm long lost I know that emotion that will stop the motion Just stop Stop the motion Rest the oscillation Stop, stop the motion Rest the oscillation High and low Back and forth Like a pendulum out of control High and low To and fro It's like being on top of the world with vertigo
