Old Trail/Onward

There is a cool truth Down an old trail Where they'd go to day to day Towards the old well They go to draw the water And they mean well But the water has been poisoned So, they all drink hell Sometimes they do not notice No one can even tell Sometimes the poison wraps their hearts And holds them like a spell The menace that has done this He asks us not to tell But God upon the moon Has said he's victim not devil The man is only man And his heart has many fell He always drinks the water From his poisoned well Sometimes he doesn't notice No one can really tell But sometimes when he's all alone He falls into the pit at the bottom of the well
