The Muse

Would you say I'm only dreaming Or is it just that I'm afraid Of the whole world's reaction To the choices that I've made Keys clicking nightly Writing nothing at all Praying for the muse To give my mind a call They say you're too hard on yourself Take the time to breathe The pen writes slowly But the tortoise wins the race I just wish that old tortoise Could pick up the pace Where is my muse I'm searching for clues But I have found none No matter what I done They say there something in those bones But the marrow's been sucked from the holes I guess I have to push myself alone The only way anything gets done
