Woke up on the beach one morning An empty bottle at my feet Took some time to get my bearings I had too much to drink the night before At the water's edge was a Mexican beauty Long black hair down to there Waves broke against her tanned, strong legs As the sun fought with her stare She was the lady from the night before Senorita on the patio Dancing with rhythms against my own A G-string and a smile wax all she owned We said goodbye to Mexico We left our dreams there on the beach We had to fly into Hollywood Into the land of make believe She was a movie star and a beauty queen A pure Mexican delight She got caught up in the masquerade While my thoughts were still back on the beach I left my lady there in Hollywood I left for a world of my own I left my heart with that senorita For when we meet again on the sand
