Mirror Images

It was not very far From my old school yard We appeared to be so distant What made the first connection? I was not very old then When I first looked upon them Emeralds were her eyes Behind a screen they lie And I knew not how to feel And what was the secrecy In the evenings at the time What lies behind the frame Looking at a face Through the mirror then away There I found those moments Where the world just disappears Keep looking at her face It's no reflection every day How could that ever change? I'd become a shadow of myself It was an evening in the mist On November the 26th And I held her in my arms As we kissed our first goodbye And I knew then how to feel And what was the secrecy In the evenings at the time I held on to a pillow dreaming on And on... At the door What lies behind the frame?
