Little Towns

You'd think I'd be eager to turn a new page Well how can I do that when opportunity lays 2000 miles west of here And I'm back where I was senior year It's time to get away And we're stopping through these little towns All across the east coast highways Take 76 over to the beach Where I can sit and over think all my memories 270 south driving through DC Time to pack up and finally leave Away from this place I once called my home A brand new start over on the west coast I don't know what I'll need for a brand new start All I have is my best friend and a wide open heart Just a kid with a dream I've always believed But before I go I need to Stop through these little towns All across the east coast highways Take 76 over to the beach Where I can sit and over think all my memories 270 south driving through DC Time to pack up and finally leave Away from this place I once called my home A brand new start over on the west coast For now as I drive to this east coast sunrise Deep in thought, not all is lost the tides will rise again Washing away to pave a new day and create a new shoreline With a fresh new path, let's forget the map we can we our own guides Do you remember when you made this trip with me?
