I’ll go ahead and tell you right now This beat sounds like heaven But it hurts like hell Yeah See what hurt me most as a kid Was lookin’ in the mirror think I look like shit Roamin’ round the halls with no attention never quits I was searchin’ for acceptance getting' none of it 4 years later, graduated, then dropped out of college Feeling stupid, couldn’t make it, see I got it honest Wish I fell in love and got attention like the rest But instead I lay awake in bed and never rest Turned to nicotine and finding feelings in a bottle But its only hitting harder when I’m at the bottom Scary thoughts been bringing in the pain I know I got ‘em Seems like every day I'm making up a different problem Everybody has a time when they wish they were numb Even Jesus was a human I bet he had some I’ll admit all my sinful ways were stupid fun But they’re only getting worse until my time has come So while you’ve been out and hanging with your friends I’ve been counting down the seconds ‘til depression ends The other day I went out in public I was stressin’ all these other people probably judging me Cause maybe I ain’t kept up with the latest trends Or maybe it’s cause I don’t drive a Benz See the word in side my lens and you might feel the pain You probably don’t know how it feels to think that you’re insane Or how it feels to get excited when outside it rains cause the sky is cryin’ with you and you feel accepted Always stress about the stupid shit my heart is unprotected I know all my actions will eventually catch up with me But they’re helpin’ get rid of the hurt that’s stickin’ w me Heard a doctor say there’s no such thing as depression Only how you feel with all the things in your possession well if that was true then tell me how the f*ck to breathe? cause I'm counting down the days until it’s time to leave I'm feeling down under
