(closer to) clear

Blurred lines running wild round me Can't seem to see one face wholly Just fragments of this pale city Flicker past my sight vaguely The cool light shining from my screen Is all my eyes are focusing on Clearly these days Hoaxing my brain From seeing things far out of reach as Closer To something I could hold onto Eyes focused So vividly on pixel dreams Lights bolder Than anything right next to me They feel Closer to clear Saturated memories Air brushed eyes convincing me That all that I need is locked in glass screens Fueling all my energy Since walls round me are washed in gray And eyes that lock all stray away When no ones touch ever remains This cool light on my face can take me Closer To something I could hold onto Eyes focused On sending me to pixel dreams I'm hoping That soon enough these screens will help me Feel Closer to clear Closer to days of laughter and nights of touch To strangers that would talk too much When all I needs a hand to shake Or eyes that stay and take me some place Closer I wanna see it clearly See everything Closer See someone I could hold onto Eyes open And taking in this world around me I'm hoping To look out once lock eyes and finally Feel Closer to clear
