Nazareth

When I think of being holy I tend to think my life just doesn't fit the bill Short of hope, I ignore the Quiet years and quiet ways You lived His will When Calvary seems so Far out of reach for What my holiness could be I think of Nazareth Those years seem average but Much more like the life I lead Those thirty years sure give Some hope to me Long before You laid it all down You learned to walk and talk The way that children do The yes You gave with Your last breath Is the yes You gave Mary and Joseph too When Calvary seems so Far out of reach for What my holiness could be I think of Nazareth Those years seem average but Much more like the life I lead Those thirty years sure give Some hope to me I always wonder What those early years were like And why You chose to stoop so low I think those days Were a lot like some of mine More like the holiness I know Those years can teach me how to grow
