I may be a hopeless romantic But at least I'm thinking about the possibility of being in love With the world on my shoulders, I wonder how I survived this long It seems that romance is a lost art Many fools have painted pictures that will never see the light of day Or make it out of the dark If my pen could speak, it would tell you how I really feel If these pages could listen, they would know that I hate it here What is lost may never be found, and that's a truth I'm still wrestling with I've lost time fishing for love when I knew I'd never reel it in But seafood don't taste the same when it's cooked too fast And you know what they say about love Or anything when it's good it never lasts But I digress because I'll never stop chasing love Then again, maybe that's the problem I just can't keep up So the story shall continue, the protagonist in a mess This is your invitation But to whom do I address?
