b held reflection. şarkı sözleri
As I sit here with my pen and reflect
I think about all the times that I had left
All the values that I loved and progressed
And all the moments that I lost and regret
In my 20's now the next decades a test
Writing down my feelings hoping that it makes checks
I didn't make this album just to copy the best
I made this little album just to show it's the end
My childhood was great but these next steps be greater
Journaling my future 'cause I live through the papers
Always had the vision of success right in front of me
But now it's time to take it my hands, no more running B
I dictate all the plays like a Quarterback
But I haven't gotten paid want some quarters back
I remember all the jobs where I was making jack
And reflecting through the music made through all of that, made through all of that
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
When the birds and bees were funny talk but now I gotta watch my junk
If you ain't careful with your head you could get stuck struck out of luck
Back when we were playing tag and holding hands for peace and love
But life ain't fairytales its grimful COVID showed us push to shove
People judged for color, colorblinded thanks to media
And there's no median for money we just rats stuck in a rut
You either rich as f*ck or poor as dust with how the world is run
Letting all these puppets dictate how the strings were meant for us
Now I've been on a mission fighting with the grain
Instead of chasing for the bread sit down and use your brain
Are you happy with the life you've planned out for yourself?
Or is there deeper meaning rooted in the ground you feel
I discovered truth the red pill is the one I'd take
The path less traveled, path of gravel is my destined fate
I'll keep pushing all these boulders Sisyphus has taught me well
I am proud of where I came from learned to live without a shell
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
Dear Myself,
I'm proud you found a way to find yourself
You were cocky for a little needed help
But inside you just wanted them to feel
You fell in love but didn't share a theme
Then you turned to drugs to find a way to scream
You pushed away bad habits and prevailed
But were scared that they didn't want to hear
A legacy is what you wanted built
Split decisions which one will you choose to kill
Now I'm back here with my little pen and paper
Jotting down of what I been through, what comes later
If I had a question for the younger me?
On what events have made me who I'll be?
It's a combination of these little songs
That make the bigger picture where I came from
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
I been reflecting, b-b-been reflecting
Well Brandon it's been great knowing you, but now I think it's time to start a new chapter
And to the listener I have one question to ask you
What is your story?
