Warm black nights took control while Jonny played guitar He cast a shadow on the fire that not even the light could hide He preached about the work of death and the impeccable grip of sin But the words that he delivered were met with coughs and sighs He continued to drown his sorrows in the helpful arms of others Thought about being a burden while his hands tore apart his covers The demon on the ceiling kept him from being on the phone He did his best to combat it but he never made it far from home The work of art he left behind was desperately wanting free He watched the friends that he never made grabbing up there Teflon keys And all that fighting was it ever worth it to find a forever boy To keep him up and stay alive long enough to see him change Contradicting every word he said he did his best to let him go It didn't mater what he thought he said, the River in the front yard still flowed Responding back with a simple hello and asking how his day was then It all meant nothing in the morning after who he thought was his only friend When everybody left had left his house he continued to watch the world 2:45 in the morning now he sang along and drank all night But nothing that he wanted or could ever have could ever be solved alone So He picked up the heavy guitar string and fell off his home
