Far away from what’s familiar High up on another bluff Landed on a rocky island Way out where the ocean’s rough It’s still early (A citrus babble) I’ve got time (People stay here) Creaky calling (I’m not falling) Bony climb (I’ll be fine) Forward through a liquid forest Stumble till I’m out of breath Quaintness through somebody’s curtains Maybe it’s a place to rest A place to rest, I don’t need a place to rest I see yellow– golden lights on in your tower I watch your shadow holding mine Stars falling– flying, they were ours Dead days with no one keeping time Toss out all the wasted water I'll be on a sweeter shore All the rusty ships are stranded Bled out on the ocean floor I don’t need a place to rest
