Pride

Where is my pride? It's in the back seat of my car but I can't drive so we haven't moved so far. Just sitting there in awkward silence I can't bear breathing in this stuffy air. You hurt me much! And I'm not sure if I should stay. Can barely stand you anymore but still ain't going anywhere. I guess I'll wait until the hatred goes away, dissolves in water like the pain. But this one is going to stay. Maybe I shouldn't have let you in. My mum told me that the ones who you love most can hurt you so much that you wish you'd die. But when I met you I was blind like all the fools that fall in love, I told her that's a lie. And look at me now where I am. I'm standing on a stupid highway miles away from where I should be.
