The stars are beginning to shine On the gnarly tail of the dove and the porcupine There's an argument to be made to get up and dance But it's not like you to take that kind of chance The wolves are beginning to howl Your brother's lost in the woods and you don't know how There's an argument to be made to get up and leave But the darkness of the night you can't conceive And I see you haven't lost your touch And I've not seen you round that much Have you lost your god damn mind? Leaving all your sedatives behind The mask is beginning to slip All eyes turn to you but you're not equipped There's a feeling of mirth in the room you can tangibly touch And family and friends they might scorn you it don't mean that much The smell on your breath is of grape or of grain The choice is important to you but results much the same And on leaving your keys in the door you pass out in the hall And then facing your kids in the morning it's hard to stand tall And I see you haven't lost your touch And I've not seen you round that much Have you lost your god damn mind?
