Growing older without the sage's touch, Days blur into nights, it's all too much. When shadows of my mind begin their midnight march, Echoes of the past, through my memory they arch. Left alone, I'm a danger untold, My thoughts come with burdens, heavy to hold. I descend into turmoil, a narrative old, (A cyclical tale bold) Tormented by visions, in my sleep, I'm reeling, Anticipating the moment you'll walk out, feeling.
