I was warming a bar stool down at a place called the Lizard's Lounge Everybody was looking at something so naturally I turned around In walked a bombshell girl so hot she'd set your eyes aflame Then she sat down right next to me and said Heartbreak is my name Heartbreak and I became very good friends and everything was going fine So I decided to have her meet Charlie a very good friend of mine As soon as he saw that girl I'm sure he was glad he came She flashed her eyes at him and said Heartbreak is my name Well I thought about that girl's flirtation I admit a little bit of aggravation Maybe just my fixation Or maybe my overactive Imagination I saw life as a pink carnation No need for agitation So in my in my blind estimation I saw no need for an explanation Heartbreak said she was busy one night so I went over to Charlie's place I thought nothing in the world could ever take the smile from my face But then I caught them two together I said would you like to explain She said why do you look so surprised Heartbreak is my name She said why do you look so surprised Heartbreak is my name And she said why do you look so surprised Heartbreak is my name
