How Good the Rain

When the rain comes pourin' down It makes all the country cleaner It makes all the grass much greener When it rains don't run away We'll come out again to frolic neath the sunshine By the lilac trees that bloom erasing gloom There we'll sit and you must admit That I am sane when I proclaim How good the rain Now take the love that comes in spring And in each and every country We can spread this love abundantly The birds will build their nests And they'll leave their winter places And they'll meet the lovely faces That will raise their heads in praise And when the beaus meet their lovely maids Then they will sing what I have sung How good the rain Then you and I We can spend time together All that is love we will find The days will be spent Watching sunshine and flowers I'm happy just knowing you're mine We'll listen to sounds mother nature has sent us We'll watch as the world learns to grow We'll taste all the apples, the peaches, the honey Then it will be time to go Now the rain has done it's share It's made all the people happy Doodle weedle doodle dappy In the sun, we'll have our fun We'll go out and buy a Clark bar And we'll drink our Coca-Cola That sounds fair and we'll declare How good the rain It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring How good the rain It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring How good the rain It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring How good the rain
