I believe healing is comprised of these three processes Mending, restoration and wholeness Healing happens when we acknowledge the wrongs we have done As well as those that have been done to us Healing happens when we forgive ourselves and others and we make amends For only then can real mending begin The journey of healing is far from easy It can be messy, it can be exhausting It can feel like two steps forward and five steps back and honestly Sometimes we're left asking ourselves if this painstaking journey is truly worth it But in order to restore to a state of health what is sick or broken within us We must stay this course We must be vulnerable and true to ourselves and be honest about where and why it hurts For in all of this will we find strength to proceed on the way to wellness So, allow yourself heal Take all the time you need to For this journey of healing need not be rushed Take hold of the hands stretched out to you I promise you will need the support Oh, we owe it to ourselves, we owe it to ourselves to heal properly We owe it to ourselves to heal physically, emotionally and psychologically We owe it to ourselves to heal and remain whole Whatever it takes, whatever it takes
