Reverie A summer shone through reveries The days you’d pick were numinous Now all is so unwavering And love is resolute That circumstantial truth becomes A wave in self redundancy See I’m wading through those memories In search for magnitude We would simmer down and fold some flames Conveyed by thoughts of limousines We’d mend ourselves through lemonade And hope you like what’s left of me Yeah, you were one for tongue ‘n cheek Revealed by fiery youth We’d f*ck around with lucid teens And curse on Hollywood Like rain, yea you were always near Among the whins and brambles where Mistakes were made so translucent And my speech is inadequate These ocean eyes like crystalline Got crying nights, abandoned sheets You used to find me in my dreams And throw me back these reveries
