SHINING Winds on the water, sun’s on the rise Scattering diamonds by the river’s bend Stand on the mountain, sing to the skies There’ll never be a day like this again Shining, Shining Acres of concrete, covered with lines Got caught in the headlights, just had to escape Followed the moon and the scent of the pines Where a black soft as velvet, holds the Milky Way Shining, shining The only sound is the wind through the trees The only place my mind is at ease Laid down my head on a pillow of leaves Now I’m heading back home, saying a prayer A gift that’s so precious, gotta believe This land can stay sacred for everyone to share Keep it shining Shining Shining
