It was a heated argument that evening He left packing He said he had tolerated enough And above all self worth over disrespect Peace of mind over all and that was all he wanted I was in tears because it was late so I feared And I wondered where he would lay his head Dad and mom were far gone before he was 16 Dad was hard to visualize But mom was the figure he could figure out even with his eyes closed She was that one person he could idolized If wishes were served on his table one thing he would verbalize She was the only figure in the picture The Alpha that taught him never to be bitter She was the only one he got and wanted no harm close to her Even if it meant pulling the trigger But she was far gone To him the best cook In his verses she was the best hook See this is just more than a story or a body of piece I know another who could hardly visualize her mom Dad is alive yet she feels he's far gone Mom was gone right after she was born And her existence to the family is like a scar To them the cause of Mom's death She stole mom's breathe And now beauty is posing as an enemy Beauty creating scenes of vulnerability Recent happenings making her battle anxiety Probably depression and it's far worse than oppression I know another precisely a brother Who we grew up together Mom and Dad are all here Yet life ambitions has made him lose himself He is far gone He was a whole mood She was a whole vibe Now they all turn numb But what's my point See I saw many people put on a smile And looked all happy until they opened up Many hiding their pain with the smiles Many who still haven't made peace with their past and the inner man Many things hidden And it's sad we live in a society where opening up means weakness Where people assume I'm okay text means fitness I saw a post online A brother died of hunger yet food was served at his funeral Man was the solution but man will definitely blame God A brother told me we live in a world where no one cares about your feelings I saw a caring one turn cruel Another lose her sense of humour A friend drinking himself to stupor They were all full of life and now they miss their own energy A brother knew a lot of people So it was assumed he had a lot of friends Recently I heard he committed suicide And left a notice I was never loved I asked how but surprisingly that's reality Smiles do not mean mental stability neither tranquillity Many are on the go but their mental health is all alone and slow We've lost ourselves trying to find others And we've lost others trying to find ourselves The loneliest people are the kindest And the saddest the ones with the brightest smiles Life comes with its trying times Life issues eating a lot of people inside But suicide is never an option To our friends we urge you to open up Learn to love yourself that's the ultimate love Parents speak more with your kids You'll be surprised what is hidden inside Let's seek for help I know we're all trying to figure out our lives but let's frequently check in on our friends Have deep conversations avoid cliché ones To everyone that is hurt,broken or suffered any form of abuse Anyone that is depressed all who feel empty I assure you Christ is the ultimate helper And he's ever ready to come to our aid Come all ye who are heavy larden and he shall give you rest And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guide your heart and minds
