Pennies (In A Fountain)

Been saving up my pennies Throwin' 'em in a jar A handful of pennies they say Won't get you very far But I go down to the well Where the fountain always flows A pocket full of pennies And a head full of woes I dropped a couple pennies in that wishin' well I dropped a couple pennies just to wish you well I dropped a couple pennies in that well well well I know it don't seem much For me I disagree I'd throw my last cent to wish you well They say a handful of pennies Won't get you very far But I counted twenty wishes Here sittin' in this jar Could've saved up to a dollar Or maybe even ten But the values in my pennies Are in the wishes that I spend I dropped a couple pennies in that wishin' well I dropped a couple pennies just to wish you well I dropped a couple pennies in that well well well I know it don't seem much For me I disagree I'd throw my last cent to wish you well Just want you to feel good Can't stand to see you bad Puttin' prayers on my pennies And wishing you'll come back There's so much more to live for There's so much here to do I'd gather every penny And toss 'em all for you I dropped a couple pennies in that wishin' well I dropped a couple pennies just to wish you well I dropped a couple pennies in that well well well I know it don't seem much For me I disagree I'd throw my last cent to wish you well
