The majesty of sunrises and sunsets The colours in the sky on a canvass heaven sent I accept that the stars can't shine in the rain And I'll never ever see you again The rain on a leaf or clutching to a window pane The wind trying to take down a stubborn tree in vain I accept there are rules in all of life's games And I'll never ever see you again The low hum of pub talk punctured by laughs The draining of glasses be it the first or the last I accept bonds are broken and sometimes others are made And I'll never ever see you again The seasons and years that fly by us so fast Today we make memories to build into a past I accept love that's given can sometimes lead to pain And I'll never ever see you again The folly of billionaires firing rockets into space When poverty and war on this earth is common place I accept there are no limits in our ability to hate And I'll never ever see you again
