I never thought I'd be the one to say Bury my bones in a nameless grave But circumstances change, life will wither away, slowly dissipate Tell me why do we survive? When we've always had the chance to fly? Perspective leads me to believe that there's nothing worth what's in front of me Lead me down to the surface I'm on the edge of eternity I long for rest To welcome my new sanctuary Serenity Everlasting tranquil sleep Brought forth by never wanting Never being Fingers intertwined, a cadence played by the hands of time Ticking away to our eventually Counting the days till our mortality Runs out We were always meant to fade away Lead me straight through my worthlessness I'm on the edge of eternity I long for rest To welcome my new sanctuary Serenity
