Leaf Spring Rocket Machine

Drip the cold rain off of my head As I leave through your back door Tip shelves diving out of a dream Onto a muddy bedroom floor Please, anything change It's all one long Start of the day I feel grounded But flying away Away and away now Notebooks filled with scribbled stills of my everyday Half-finished dreams go on repeat in my brain They play and play My headspace Is chilly and faded Like the sky On every other autumn day But I can't let it go away Elevator music running like a train Every conversation is important But I've got nothing to say My headspace Soaked in a fog Of my everlasting daze Hard to process But hey, I'm awake And I feel like going to a party right about now Where all they ever talk about is the way the leaves keep falling down "Aren't they beauties?"
