The Seawind Whisperer

Strolling on the rocky shore, followed by whispers of seawinds Guided by the waves, I contemplate the early dawn Carried by fishermen, stories of a shipwreck Far from here along the coast Sparked my will to learn what happened to that ship Said to be shattered in pieces of wood Tainted with blood And pale shadows moving along the shore I can hear the wind carrying the cries Of seamen sunk in the brine Soaked in icy waters Lost into the storm Victims of a curious slaughter Who knows what caused that crew to sink Attack of a dreadful sea monster Spell of a terrible curse Madness, disease or hunger Fragments of the past will unravel history At the foot of the cliff Scattered among the boulders Broken planks of a stranded ship Await to tell the fate of the sailors Searching among the rests Of the vessel I find traces of a fight Seawinds here sing of doom And lead me to some sort of a woodwind engraved with sigils I've heard tales about such an unholy and vile instrument Marines from afar told me of a flute that brought death and madness on their land Any who could hear its sound would give in to insane bloodlust Could have people on this boat carried such a curse to our realm? If all is true, I need to... I need to take and conceal it. Keep it from anyone to... I can hear voices... voices from the flute! It's speaking to me! Ancient magic is at work Souls of the dead howling from beyond the grave To their call I must resist Fight the curse and seal the flute On my own magic I call Strengthen my mind and tame that malediction down Into a chest the flute shall stay Never to be found, never to be seen This curse of yore no more will spread Under my protection the artifact I will keep
