Revolution!

Are we really just this way? Are we just made to hate and take and kill And steal from one another until the pathways that we build us will Reflect this ideal vision that we've created by consensus? Inundated by the media until the lives we lead are senseless An apathy enraptures me, I'm frozen in paralysis Explosion of the facts, some sort of unconscious analysis Analogous to the deer that sits, in headlights he's not moving I look at the lack of the the facts that I have and I think that a theory's proven? Now I'm certain that we're hurting cause the lives that we are leading Are bleeding us and feeding those we want to be retreating And it's exceedingly defeating, all these beatings that we've taken And it's scary to take a stand because what if the stand's mistaken? But we've gotta own the fact that this nation is our place and If we want to take it back we simply can't remain complacent Time to launch our own attack, tight fist raised with impatience To those who'd hold us back we scream, "we're not gonna fucking take this!" Revolution! We gotta open our eyes To those in power, we don't believe in your lies Revolution! It's time to get educated, because nothing's gonna change if we all remain sedated
