Dear Diary

Tell me is it possible to write away the demons inside of me They say choose your battles, I decide to fight silently Little bits of jealousy, anger, depression, even anxiety That come together, try to block my vision entirely I never let it I'll be damned if you do and then tell me you're okay with it Between the beats I built a world of bars, so you know that Imma live in it Mornings where I didn't make my bed but at night I still laid in it Just be yourself, everybody plays the game different All these different ways to learn all the same lessons The less you look the more you see, you just gotta listen And I listen a lot This is when you give it your all and people see it, appreciate it Turn around and say you're missing a spot When you give someone a present and they hope it's something cooler than it is Just be grateful there's a gift in the box I tell myself I'm in my head cause I don't know if I'm not I know I gotta let the people rock Instead of begging they were rocking out to me These the type of verses I write that I should probably start with dear diary It sound fire to you but it's dire to me Fear inside of me that people lie to me when they're tired of me Avoiding telling me the truth that I deserve to hear Sometimes the progress feels like seven years Other times it feels like seven days I hate comparing my art to others and still do it Me and my ignorant ways I'm only 20 yet somehow feel like I'm doing it wrong I had a vision that I hit a thousand views on a song Milestones I have yet to reach Meanwhile sitting on a pile of unreleased Making records that hold tremendous meaning to me Tengu telling me to drop a single every week Math3w telling me to be the change I wanna see Paid attention to the details, needed a receipt A picky eater, I don't ever wanna taste defeat I'd rather lay the path out let people follow me than stare at my phone screen and care about who follows me Life is too short for that crap Woke up and told myself I'm gonna chase my dreams Part of its for me, the other part is strictly for the team Voices in my head distinctly saying words to me One day our worlds will meet Until then it's me myself and the music Beanie
