Mic check, one, two, one-two Yeah Let's get it, uh I'm traveling coast to coast At the speed of sound I'm going so fast I hope my feet don't fail me now Cause I need em' the most For this ever changing life I gotta work a job And try to fight through all the strife For about a year But all these fears are forming around me It just feels like I'm drowning I need to swim back up to the surface Before my life ends I just feel so alone out here But I know I still have my friends Even though they're 1500 miles away I just wish I could be out there To make sure that they're okay But then again I've never lived an average life anyway I could tell by how the ladies in the store Would tell me I have good manners For being just a little boy Or when my mom would look and say That my soul was old It was something that inspired me So I listened to the music And became infatuated with everything From all of the albums to all of the CDs I wanted a life just like that What more could I ask?
