Belly of the beast

I'm in the belly of the beast And it's warm inside Though I couldn't find sleep The first few nights Then I found out that in a way Being in the belly is OK I survived the claws and teeth that came And I'll survive this darkness all the same But I do believe with my head held high That my limit is the sky So keep in mind There 's always a side of the coin That you've never seen Not only black or white But an inbetween Every grey clouds hides A blue sky above So look up little darling Look up I travelled through the heart Of this awful plight Lost counting the days Gave up the fight Tried to work my way out of the seams That was just a dream It's the moment you surrender and let it all go You'll find your way through this unknown And the world starts gently winding down That's when you came around And so I found There 's always a side of the coin That you've never seen Not only black or white But an inbetween Every grey clouds hides A blue sky above So look up little darling Look up Look on beyond Darling beyond Dark horizon I'll be your sun
