stepping on legos

I always feel like I'm stepping on legos Don't know how far I want to go Build me up just to break me down And maybe I'll stop stepping on legos Build me up to above and beyond The sky, the stars, the moon, the sun Then tear me back, bring me down to the ground So I can keep stepping on legos But walking on eggshells is easy now My feet have grown calloused and numb Someday I'll learn my lesson and grow And maybe I'll stop stepping on legos I'm treading water, I'm on thin ice Feel like I can't breathe all the time Sinking, drowning, gasping, let me go Because I keep on stepping on legos And then I'm floating up in the sky I'm walking on clouds, but I just wanna fly And I think it's time I can finally show That I'm no longer stepping on legos
