I try and read your eyes but can't hear what they're trying to say I thought I overheard someone say there's a different way Where you can tell me how you feel so I don't have to guess And go ahead misread instead and end up in a mess I know you're thinking Just spit it out This silence Fills my head with doubt You know the answer To what's in your head But you'll just bat your eyes instead Is it me I check the mirror cause it's so hard to tell If I fucked it up cuz what you said ain't ringing a bell And now you got me second guessing And compressing all the little bits of thoughts you throw like scraps to a dog I know you're thinking Just spit it out This silence Fills my head with doubt You know the answer To what's in your head But you'll just bat your eyes instead [solo] I try and separate the story just to keep my head I'll sort the things that I remember from the things you said But the lines are getting blurry cause the story's getting fuzzy Now I can't remember who I was before this mess
