Better Today

I realized one day I had a stroke while I was sleeping I couldn't use my left side To do anything I thought my days writing songs Had finally come to an end It was worst time I was finally getting somewhere I mourned the loss of the gifts that God gave me I really didn't want to let him down Something strange really knocked me to my knees The people who I thought forgot me gave me hope I don't understand why this happened to me Your words of wisdom erased the core of my misery I know I have work to do that will test me in many ways But this is how I want to thank you You made me feel better today I may never be the same as I used to be Lord knows I'm still trying I just hope I can write and share what I feel With those who shared their wisdom to help me I don't understand why this happened to me Your words of wisdom erased the core of my misery I know I have work to do that will test me in many ways This is how I want to thank you You made me feel better today Made me feel better today Made me feel better today You made me better Today
