First Epistle to the Corinthians

O man, who stands with judging breath, Dost thou not walk the path of death? For none are pure, for none are free, All bear the weight of sin's decree. Yet mercy speaks, and grace is near, Repent, O soul, the Judge is here. By faith we stand, in Christ made new, Not by our deeds, nor works we do. Yet hope is ours, through trial's demand, For love was nailed by sovereign hand. Through Christ alone, our peace is won, Through blood outpoured, through risen Son. The Spirit breathes, our hearts ignite, To long for day beyond this night. For suffering yields a strength untold, Through fire refined, through trials bold. Rejoice in pain, endure the race, For hope is sealed by heaven's grace. What once was loss, He makes complete, What once was dust, stands at His feet. Hate what is false, let love be true, Hold fast to good in all you do. With fervent zeal, O serve the Lord, In suffering stand, in prayer be poured. Bless those who curse, let wrath depart, No evil keep within thy heart. For vengeance waits in hands divine, Let love be thine, let mercy shine. No debt remains but love alone, The law fulfilled, the mercy shown. O love thy neighbor as thy life, And cast away all fear and strife. For love completes what law began, And binds the heart to heaven's plan. By faith we stand, by grace restored, Through love we live to serve the Lord. No king, no crown, no weight, no tide, Shall turn our hearts from Him who died. So rise, O Church, let truth be known, Till Christ returns to claim His own.
