I’ve been painting pictures in my brain With many different colors of paint But if you could see them You might find they’re beautiful I’ve been writing stories convincing Of characters you never will meet But if you could meet them You might find they’re wonderful But You’ll stop having sympathy for those who don’t exist You’ll stop displaying artwork that's not on canvases Just like how I did Until I met you Just like how I did Until I met you (Before you) I only had my imagination (Before you) I daily lived an earthly damnation (Before you) I never actually understood What it meant to be in love Because you gave me A first person point of view I’ve been deeply dreaming vividly Confusing it for reality Almost getting a false memory Of many things that could never be But if you could have been there You might have felt pleasant too But You’ll stop feeling happiness once you open your eyes Deeds loose meaning when there’s not someone by your side Just like how I did Until I met you Just like how I did Until I met you (Before you) I only had my imagination (Before you) I daily lived an earthly damnation (Before you) I never actually understood What it meant to be in love Because you gave me A first person point of view I’ve been living life like a video game You and I both know that it’s not the same Only been a witness to many acts of love Now I finally get it Not what I first thought of Don’t care what you give me For you, who can I be?
